CFR Motorsports prepares for the 2018 SCCA Runoffs

The SCCA Runoffs have returned to the West Coast after three years and will take place this October 16th - 21st at Sonoma Raceway in beautiful wine country California. Cheap Fast Racing has qualified both cars through the SCCA Majors Tour in both the GT2 and E-Production classes. This will be our first attempt at bringing two cars down to the Runoffs.

We have made one trip down to Sonoma already this year to run the SCCA Majors race in July. Not only did it serve as a qualifier it also gave us a good opportunity to test and set up our EP car against some of the best National competition. Darren was able to bring the car home 4th both days and battled for third most of the race. Making the trip down was great for Darren allowing him to become familiar with the circuit. The EP car ran well and we posted competitive times all weekend giving us some confidence to come back for the big show in September.

We are preparing and making improvements to both cars with just under a month remaining before we take to the track for practice. Stay tuned for more information as we near close to the event.
